Product Overview
Clone 21R04 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase BRE1B (gene RNF40) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 113.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 130 kDa.
RNF40 (BRE1B) partners with RNF20 to form the main E3 ubiquitin ligase for histone H2B, adding monoubiquitin to lysine 120. The resulting H2BK120ub1 mark is associated with actively transcribed genes and is required for downstream methylation of histone H3 at K4 and K79, placing RNF40 at the center of chromatin regulation.
