Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects large ribosomal subunit protein eL14 (gene RPL14) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 23.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 26 kDa.
RPL14 (eL14) is a component of the large 60S ribosomal subunit, the part of the ribosome that forms peptide bonds during protein synthesis. It is studied mainly in the context of ribosome structure, ribosome biogenesis and translation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human HepG2 cells, human HeLa cells, human MCF-7 cells, rat liver tissue, mouse liver tissue, mouse NIH/3T3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HeLa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): 293T cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human RPL14 fragment (Met1–Ala207), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 85.6% and 86.5%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places large ribosomal subunit protein eL14 in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
