Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets large ribosomal subunit protein eL29 (gene RPL29) in human, mouse, rat and monkey samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 17.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 20 kDa.
RPL29 (eL29) is a protein of the large 60S ribosomal subunit that contributes to ribosome structure and protein synthesis. It has also been described at the cell surface as a heparin/heparan sulfate–binding protein, and it is studied in ribosome biology and cell growth.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): mouse NIH/3T3 cells, monkey COS-7 cells, human HeLa cells, human HepG2 cells, rat pancreas tissue, rat C6 cells, mouse pancreas tissue, mouse RAW264.7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue, human appendiceal adenocarcinoma tissue, human breast cancer tissue, human gall bladder adenosquamous carcinoma tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): MCF-7 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HeLa cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human RPL29 fragment (Gln27–Ala153), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse, rat and monkey. UniProt places large ribosomal subunit protein eL29 in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
