Product Overview
Clone 18R43 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes small ribosomal subunit protein eS19 (gene RPS19) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 16.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 14 kDa.
RPS19 (eS19) is a small-subunit ribosomal protein needed for pre-rRNA processing and maturation of the 40S subunit. It is the most frequently mutated gene in Diamond–Blackfan anemia, a congenital failure of red blood cell production, making it central to research on ribosome-related disorders.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human RPS19.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places small ribosomal subunit protein eS19 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Higher level expression is seen in the colon carcinoma tissue than normal colon tissue. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
