Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects NAD(P)H oxidoreductase RTN4IP1, mitochondrial in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 43.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 44 kDa.
RTN4IP1 (also called OPA10) is a mitochondrial NAD(P)H oxidoreductase that interacts with Reticulon-4. It supports coenzyme Q (ubiquinone) biosynthesis and has been linked to neurite outgrowth of retinal ganglion cells, and RTN4IP1 mutations cause optic atrophy.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg /1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat liver tissue, rat kidney tissue, mouse kidney tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): K562 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human RTN4IP1 fragment (Met1–Lys381), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places NAD(P)H oxidoreductase RTN4IP1, mitochondrial in the mitochondrion matrix and mitochondrion outer membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed in mitochondria-enriched tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
