Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets protein S100-A12 (gene S100A12) in human samples and is validated for IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 10.6 kDa.
S100A12 (also called EN-RAGE or calgranulin C) is a calcium- and zinc-binding S100 protein released mainly by activated neutrophils. As a damage-associated signal, it binds the receptor RAGE to activate MAP kinase and NF-κB pathways, and it is widely measured as a marker of inflammatory activity.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 1–2 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human spleen tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human S100A12.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes protein S100-A12 as secreted and also located in the cytoplasm and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Predominantly expressed by neutrophils, monocytes and activated macrophages.
