Product Overview
Clone AOOH-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes protein S100-A9 (gene S100A9) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 13.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 14 kDa.
S100A9 (also called calgranulin B or MRP14) is a calcium- and zinc-binding protein that forms calprotectin with S100A8 in neutrophils and monocytes. It supports phagocyte migration, NADPH oxidase activity and neutrophil degranulation, and once released it signals as an alarmin, making it a widely studied inflammatory marker.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human S100A9.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes protein S100-A9 as secreted and also located in the cytoplasm and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Calprotectin (S100A8/9) is predominantly expressed in myeloid cells.
