Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets protein S100-P (gene S100P) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry.
S100P is an EF-hand calcium-binding protein that acts as a calcium sensor, interacting with partners such as ezrin to influence cell structure and migration. It can also stimulate cell growth through the receptor RAGE, and it is studied in placenta and in several epithelial cancers.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human S100P.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places protein S100-P in the nucleus, cytoplasm and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in all of the tissues except brain, testis and small intestine, expression level is higher in placenta, heart, lung, skeletal muscle, spleen and leukocyte.
