Product Overview
Clone AOCH-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes protein S100-P (gene S100P) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 10.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 10 kDa.
S100P is an EF-hand calcium-binding protein that acts as a calcium sensor, interacting with partners such as ezrin to influence cell structure and migration. It can also stimulate cell growth through the receptor RAGE, and it is studied in placenta and in several epithelial cancers.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): SW480 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human bladder carcinoma tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): SW480 cells.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human S100P.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places protein S100-P in the nucleus, cytoplasm and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in all of the tissues except brain, testis and small intestine, expression level is higher in placenta, heart, lung, skeletal muscle, spleen and leukocyte. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
