Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects KH domain-containing, RNA-binding, signal transduction-associated protein 1 (gene KHDRBS1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 48.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 68 kDa.
Sam68 (KHDRBS1) is a KH domain RNA-binding protein that also serves as a signaling adapter. It is tyrosine-phosphorylated downstream of Src family kinases and several receptors, binding SH2 and SH3 domain proteins, and it links these signals to RNA processing, notably alternative splicing of target transcripts. Sam68 is studied in cell cycle control, neuronal and bone development, and cancer.

Immunogen
Recombinant human Sam68/KHDRBS1 fragment (Met21–Glu239), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places KH domain-containing, RNA-binding, signal transduction-associated protein 1 in the nucleus, cytoplasm and membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed in all tissue examined. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
