Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes spindle assembly abnormal protein 6 homolog (gene SASS6) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 74.4 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 74,70–74 kDa.
SASS6 (also called HsSAS-6) is a core structural protein of the centriole that forms the cartwheel scaffold responsible for its ninefold symmetry. It is required for centriole duplication, and its levels are tightly controlled to prevent extra centrosomes, making it a standard marker in centrosome and cilia research.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): human testis cancer tissue.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): MCF-7 cells.
Immunogen
