Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes secretory carrier-associated membrane protein 3 (gene SCAMP3) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 38.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 36 kDa.
SCAMP3 is a secretory carrier membrane protein that localizes to post-Golgi and endosomal membranes and takes part in recycling of membrane carriers to the cell surface. It has also been linked to endosomal sorting and trafficking of growth factor receptors.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HUH-7 cells, human A549 cells, human K562 cells, human 293T cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human appendiceal carcinoid tissue, human breast cancer tissue, human cervix squamous cells carcinoma tissue, human rectum adenocarcinoma tissue, human spleen tissue, human testicular seminoma tissue, rat ovary tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): 293T cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SCAMP3 fragment (Met1–Pro347), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 90.3%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt places secretory carrier-associated membrane protein 3 in the membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed, with highest expression in heart and skeletal muscle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
