Product Overview
Clone FAG-11 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes kit ligand (gene KITLG) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 30.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 18 kDa.
Kit ligand (KITLG, also called stem cell factor or SCF) is a cytokine that activates the KIT receptor tyrosine kinase. It exists in membrane-bound and soluble forms and supports the survival and proliferation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, mast cells, melanocytes and germ cells. SCF is widely used in stem cell culture and studied in hematopoiesis, pigmentation and fertility.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human stomach tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human SCF.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
