Product Overview
Clone 27S73 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes scinderin in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 80.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 80 kDa.
Scinderin (SCIN), also known as adseverin, is a calcium-dependent actin-severing protein of the gelsolin family. By cutting actin filaments beneath the plasma membrane it helps control exocytosis, and it has also been linked to megakaryocyte maturation and osteoclast formation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat kidney tissue, mouse kidney tissue, mouse spleen tissue, human 293 cells, human SH-SY5Y cells, human A673 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places scinderin in the cytoplasm and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in megakaryocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
