Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets SCY1-like protein 2 (gene SCYL2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 103.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 104 kDa.
SCYL2 is a member of the SCY1-like pseudokinase family that associates with clathrin and the AP2 adaptor complex. It is thought to regulate clathrin-dependent trafficking at the plasma membrane and trans-Golgi network, and it is important for neuronal function and brain development.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human MCF-7 cells, human 293T cells, human Jurkat cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): U87 cells.

Recombinant human SCYL2 fragment (Glu208–Gln909), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places SCY1-like protein 2 in the endosome membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
