Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects protein SEC13 homolog in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 35.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 36 kDa.
SEC13 is a small WD-repeat protein shared by three complexes: the COPII coat that forms vesicles leaving the endoplasmic reticulum, the nuclear pore complex, and the GATOR2 complex that promotes mTORC1 activation in response to amino acids. It is therefore studied in secretory transport, nuclear pore structure and nutrient signaling.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MCF-7 cells lysate, human MDA-MB-453 cells lysate, human HepG2 cells lysate, human K562 cells lysate, rat brain tissue lysates, rat small intestine tissue lysates, mosue brain tissue lysates, mouse small intestine tissue lysates.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HL-60 cells, Jurkat cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SEC13L1/SEC13 fragment (Gln20–Lys305), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places protein SEC13 homolog in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, nucleus and lysosome membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
