Product Overview
Clone AEEC-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes protein transport protein Sec23A in human samples and is validated for Western blot and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 86.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 86 kDa.
SEC23A is a component of the COPII coat, which bends the endoplasmic reticulum membrane into vesicles and selects cargo for transport to the Golgi. Paired with SEC24 it forms the inner coat layer and activates the GTPase SAR1, and SEC23A mutations cause cranio-lenticulo-sutural dysplasia due to impaired collagen secretion.
