Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes SEC23-interacting protein (gene SEC23IP) in human, monkey, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 111.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 125 kDa.
SEC23IP (also called p125A) is a protein that binds SEC23 and several phosphoinositides and helps organize endoplasmic reticulum exit sites where COPII vesicles form. It is studied in the early secretory pathway.

Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HL-60 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SEC23IP fragment (Glu30–Arg426), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, monkey, mouse and rat. UniProt places SEC23-interacting protein in the endoplasmic reticulum. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed with stronger levels detected in heart, liver and skeletal muscle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
