Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets protein transport protein Sec24A in human and monkey samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 119.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 120 kDa.
SEC24A is one of four SEC24 paralogs in the COPII coat, where SEC24 subunits serve as the main cargo-binding adaptors for proteins exiting the endoplasmic reticulum. With SEC24B it recognizes particular export signals, and it has been linked to secretion of PCSK9 and cholesterol metabolism.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 292T cells, human HepG2 cells, monkey COS-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HEL cells.

Recombinant human SEC24A fragment (Gln43–Gln1045), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and monkey. UniProt places protein transport protein Sec24A in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
