Product Overview
Clone 30S42 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes protein transport protein Sec24D in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 113.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 113 kDa.
SEC24D is a cargo-binding subunit of the COPII coat that selects proteins for export from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi. It is especially important for secretion of collagen and other matrix proteins, and SEC24D mutations cause a syndromic form of osteogenesis imperfecta.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human SEC24D.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places protein transport protein Sec24D in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed, with higher amounts in placenta, pancreas, heart and liver. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
