Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets thioredoxin reductase-like selenoprotein T (gene SELENOT) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 22.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 22 kDa.
Selenoprotein T (SELENOT) is an endoplasmic reticulum selenoprotein with thioredoxin reductase-like redox activity. It helps protect cells, including dopaminergic neurons, from oxidative stress and supports calcium mobilization and hormone secretion in neuroendocrine and pancreatic cells.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): human lung cancer tissue.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HL-60 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SELENOT fragment (Ser20–Ser195), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places thioredoxin reductase-like selenoprotein T in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitous. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
