Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects semaphorin-7A (gene SEMA7A) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 74.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 75 kDa.
Semaphorin-7A (SEMA7A, also called CD108) is a GPI-anchored semaphorin that signals through integrins, activating focal adhesion kinase and ERK1/2. It stimulates monocytes and macrophages to release inflammatory cytokines, modulates T-cell-driven inflammation and promotes axon outgrowth, so it is studied in immunology, fibrosis and neural development.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U251 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HEL cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human Semaphorin 7a/SEMA7A fragment (Glu273–His572), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places semaphorin-7A in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in skin keratinocytes and on endothelial cells from skin blood vessels (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
