Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets serine incorporator 2 (gene SERINC2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 50.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 65 kDa.
Serine incorporator 2 (SERINC2) is a multi-pass membrane protein of the SERINC family that works as an ATP-independent lipid scramblase, moving phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine in both directions across membranes. Unlike SERINC3 and SERINC5, it does not reduce HIV-1 infectivity.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HepG2 cells, human HeLa cells, human MCF-7 cells, human RT4 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): A431 cells.

Recombinant human SERINC2 fragment (Glu62–Asp378), expressed in E. coli.
