Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets plasminogen activator inhibitor 2 (gene SERPINB2) in human samples and is validated for IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 46.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 47 kDa.
Plasminogen activator inhibitor 2 (PAI-2, SERPINB2) is a serpin made largely by monocytes, macrophages and keratinocytes that inhibits urokinase-type plasminogen activator. It is distinct from endothelial PAI-1 and is studied in fibrinolysis, inflammation, placental biology and tumor invasion.

Recombinant human SerpinB2 fragment (Met1–Lys180), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 70% and 66%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes plasminogen activator inhibitor 2 as secreted and also located in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
