| Immunogen | A synthesized peptide derived from human SERPINC1 Most important serine protease inhibitor in plasma that regulates the blood coagulation cascade. AT-III inhibits thrombin as well as factors IXa, Xa and XIa. Its inhibitory activity is greatly enhanced in the presence of heparin. |

Product Overview
Clone ACCA-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes antithrombin-III (gene SERPINC1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 52.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 53 kDa.
Antithrombin-III (antithrombin, SERPINC1) is the main plasma serpin that controls blood coagulation. It inactivates thrombin and factors IXa, Xa and XIa, and its activity is strongly accelerated by heparin, which is the basis of heparin's anticoagulant effect; inherited antithrombin deficiency increases the risk of venous thrombosis.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human plasma.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human SERPINC1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes antithrombin-III as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Found in plasma. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
