Product Overview
Clone AEEO-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes protein SET in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 33.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 39 kDa.
SET (also called TAF-I or I2PP2A) is a multifunctional nuclear protein that acts as a histone chaperone in nucleosome assembly and is a potent inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A. It also forms part of the SET complex that controls a granzyme A-activated DNase during T-cell-mediated killing, and it is studied in chromatin regulation, apoptosis and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human SET Multitasking protein, involved in apoptosis, transcription, nucleosome assembly and histone binding.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places protein SET in the cytoplasm, endoplasmic reticulum and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
