Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects splicing factor 3A subunit 2 (gene SF3A2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 49.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 66 kDa.
Splicing factor 3A subunit 2 (SF3A2, SF3a66) is a subunit of the SF3a complex, part of the U2 snRNP. SF3a helps tether U2 snRNP to pre-mRNA and supports recognition of the intron branch site during early spliceosome assembly, a central step in removing introns.

Immunogen
Recombinant human SF3A2 fragment (Arg29–Pro256), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places splicing factor 3A subunit 2 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
