Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes secreted frizzled-related protein 1 (gene SFRP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for ELISA, flow cytometry, ICC/IF, IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 35.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
Secreted frizzled-related protein 1 (SFRP1) is a soluble protein that resembles the Wnt-binding domain of Frizzled receptors and binds Wnt ligands directly, generally antagonizing Wnt signaling and lowering β-catenin levels. It influences cell growth, differentiation and vascular cell proliferation, and its gene is often silenced in cancers.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colon cancer tissue, human lung cancer tissue, mouse intestine tissue, mouse kidney tissue, rat kidney tissue, rat intestine tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in citrate buffer (pH 6).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): A549 cells.
Immunogen
E. coli-derived human SFRP1 recombinant protein (A204-K314).
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes secreted frizzled-related protein 1 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
