Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes endophilin-A3 (gene SH3GL3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 39.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 42 kDa.
Endophilin-A3 (SH3GL3) is a member of the endophilin family of BAR domain proteins that bend membranes and recruit endocytic partners. It is implicated in endocytosis and may bring proteins to highly curved membranes, and it has been studied for its interaction with huntingtin.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human K562 cells, human 293T cells, human Jurkat cells, rat testis tissue, mouse testis tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Jurkat cells, U2OS cells.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the middle region of human SH3GL3. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 95.8%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places endophilin-A3 in the cytoplasm and early endosome membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Brain and testis. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
