Product Overview
Clone 19S17 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type substrate 1 (gene SIRPA) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 55.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 85 kDa.
SIRPα (CD172a, SHPS-1) is an immunoglobulin-superfamily receptor on myeloid cells and neurons whose main ligand is CD47. CD47 binding triggers SIRPα to recruit the phosphatases SHP-1 and SHP-2, delivering the well-known 'don't eat me' signal that restrains phagocytosis, which makes the CD47–SIRPα axis a major focus in macrophage and cancer immunology.
