Product Overview

Clone ADCE-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 (gene SKP2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 47.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 48 kDa.

SKP2 is the F-box protein that gives the SCFSKP2 ubiquitin ligase its substrate specificity. Together with CKS1 it targets phosphorylated p27 (CDKN1B), as well as p21, p57 and other cell cycle regulators, for proteasomal degradation, promoting entry into S phase, and it is widely studied as an oncogenic factor.
