Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes probable small intestine urate exporter (gene SLC17A4) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 54.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 65 kDa.
SLC17A4 is a member of the SLC17 anion transporter family found mainly in the intestine and liver. It carries urate in a chloride-dependent, membrane potential-driven manner and has been proposed to export urate into the gut lumen, contributing to its elimination.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): 293T cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SLC17A4 fragment (Met1–Leu497), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places probable small intestine urate exporter in the apical cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Abundantly expressed in pancreas, liver, colon and small intestine, less in kidney. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
