Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets sodium-dependent phosphate transporter 1 (gene SLC20A1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 73.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 85 kDa.
PiT1 (SLC20A1) is a sodium-coupled inorganic phosphate transporter found in most tissues. It takes up phosphate for general cell needs, has been implicated in vascular and cartilage calcification, and is required for normal cell proliferation and development; it was first identified as the receptor for gibbon ape leukemia virus.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): human rectal cancer tissue.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SLC20A1 fragment (Ala79–Lys494), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places sodium-dependent phosphate transporter 1 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
