Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects mitochondrial basic amino acids transporter (gene SLC25A29) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 32.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
SLC25A29 is a mitochondrial carrier that imports basic amino acids, mainly arginine and lysine, into mitochondria. By supplying these amino acids for mitochondrial protein synthesis and amino acid breakdown, it links cytosolic amino acid pools to mitochondrial metabolism.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human SH-SY5Y cells, human MOLT-4 cells, human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SLC25A29 fragment (His20–Glu242), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places mitochondrial basic amino acids transporter in the mitochondrion inner membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
