The predicted molecular weight is 72.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 72 kDa.
FATP4 (SLC27A4) is a fatty acid transport protein and acyl-CoA synthetase that helps cells import long-chain fatty acids by activating them to CoA esters. It is the main fatty acid transporter in the small intestine, is important for skin barrier formation, and its mutations cause ichthyosis prematurity syndrome.
