Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes sugar phosphate exchanger 3 (gene SLC37A3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 54.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 54 kDa.
SLC37A3 is a member of the sugar phosphate exchanger family that, unlike other members, does not exchange glucose-6-phosphate. Together with ATRAID it forms a lysosomal complex that releases nitrogen-containing bisphosphonates into the cytosol of osteoclasts, which is needed for these drugs to act.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human SH-SY5Y cells, human U251 cells, human PC-3 cells, rat brain tissue, rat C6 cells, mouse brain tissue, mouse Neuro-2a cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): U251 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SLC37A3 fragment (Tyr31–Glu494), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 89.7%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places sugar phosphate exchanger 3 in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and lysosome membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in liver, kidney, intestine and pancreas. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
