Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes inactive sodium-dependent neutral amino acid transporter B(0)AT3 (gene SLC6A18) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 70.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 71 kDa.
B0AT3 (SLC6A18) is a member of the SLC6 transporter family expressed mainly in kidney. The human protein does not show neutral amino acid transport activity, and its function is not fully understood.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, rat kidney tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human SLC6A18 fragment (Met1–Ala569), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt places inactive sodium-dependent neutral amino acid transporter B(0)AT3 in the membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Abundantly expressed in kidney, but not in intestine. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
