Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes Y+L amino acid transporter 1 (gene SLC7A7) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and ELISA.
y+LAT1 (SLC7A7) pairs with SLC3A2 to export cationic amino acids such as arginine from cells in exchange for neutral amino acids plus sodium. It is important at the basolateral membrane of intestine and kidney and in monocytes, and its loss causes lysinuric protein intolerance.

Immunogen
Recombinant human SLC7A7 fragment (Met1–Asp498), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 90.8% and 91.6%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places Y+L amino acid transporter 1 in the basolateral cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highest expression in kidney and peripheral blood leukocytes.
