Product Overview
Clone CAC-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes SMAD family member 1 (gene SMAD1) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 52.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 52 kDa.
SMAD1 is a receptor-regulated SMAD that carries bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signals. When BMP type I receptors phosphorylate it, SMAD1 binds SMAD4, enters the nucleus and regulates target genes, influencing embryonic development, cell differentiation and bone formation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human Jurkat cells, human SIHA cells, human HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:50, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
