Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily A member 2 (gene SMARCA2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 181.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 210 kDa.
BRM (SMARCA2) is one of the two alternative ATPase subunits of the mammalian SWI/SNF (BAF) chromatin remodeling complexes. Using ATP, it repositions nucleosomes to make DNA more or less accessible and so helps turn specific genes on or off. It is studied in development, neural differentiation and in cancers that have lost its paralog BRG1.

Immunogen
Recombinant human SMARCA2/BRM fragment (Val53–Lys1405), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily A member 2 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
