Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects SWI/SNF complex subunit SMARCC1 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 122.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 160 kDa.
BAF155 (SMARCC1) is a core scaffold subunit of SWI/SNF (BAF) chromatin remodeling complexes. It helps assemble and stabilize the complex and may stimulate the activity of its ATPase subunit, so it influences gene regulation during development and differentiation.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human K562 cells, human Jurkat cells, human Hel cells, human Raji cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): K562 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SMARCC1/BAF155 fragment (Lys61–His95), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places SWI/SNF complex subunit SMARCC1 in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in brain, heart, muscle, placenta, lung, liver, muscle, kidney and pancreas. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
