Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily D member 1 (gene SMARCD1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 58.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 58 kDa.
BAF60A (SMARCD1) is a subunit of SWI/SNF (BAF) chromatin remodeling complexes. It helps link the complex to transcription factors and nuclear receptors, contributing to gene activation and repression during development.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human PANC-1 cells, human Jurkat cells, human MOLT-4 cells, human Caco-2 cells, human SH-SY5Y cells, human Daudi cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human SMARCD. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily D member 1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in all tissues tested, including brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, muscle, pancreas and placenta. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
