Product Overview
Clone 22S30 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes structural maintenance of chromosomes protein 4 (gene SMC4) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 147.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 160 kDa.
SMC4 is a core subunit of condensin, pairing with SMC2 to form the ATPase heart of the complex. Condensin compacts and organizes chromosomes for mitosis and is required for accurate chromosome segregation.
