Product Overview
Clone ADHE-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes histone-lysine N-methyltransferase SMYD3 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 49.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 42 kDa.
SMYD3 is a SET and MYND domain methyltransferase that methylates histone H3 at lysine 4 and histone H4 at lysine 5, supporting transcriptional activation. It also methylates non-histone proteins and is studied as a factor in several cancers.
