Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily A member 5 (gene SMARCA5) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 121.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 122 kDa.
SNF2H (SMARCA5) is the ATPase of ISWI chromatin remodeling complexes, which slide nucleosomes to form regularly spaced arrays. By organizing chromatin in this way, it supports DNA replication, transcription and DNA repair.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): THP-1 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SNF2H/SMARCA5 fragment (Ala54–Lys735), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily A member 5 in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
