Product Overview
Clone AFO-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily B member 1 (gene SMARCB1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 44.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 44 kDa.
SMARCB1 (also called INI1, SNF5 or BAF47) is a core subunit of SWI/SNF (BAF) chromatin remodeling complexes, which control gene expression by moving nucleosomes. It is a well-known tumor suppressor: loss of SMARCB1 drives malignant rhabdoid tumors, and loss of nuclear staining is widely used in pathology research.
