Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets U5 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein 200 kDa helicase (gene SNRNP200) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 244.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 245 kDa.
SNRNP200 (BRR2) is the RNA helicase of the U5 snRNP that unwinds the U4/U6 RNA duplex, a key step in activating the spliceosome. It is a core component throughout the splicing cycle, and mutations cause a form of retinitis pigmentosa.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places U5 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein 200 kDa helicase in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
