Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects beta-1-syntrophin (gene SNTB1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 58.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 68 kDa.
Beta-1-syntrophin (SNTB1) is an adaptor protein of the dystrophin glycoprotein complex. It is thought to organize the location of membrane proteins and link them to the actin cytoskeleton.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human Jurkat cells, human HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Jurkat cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SNTB1 fragment (Gln83–Glu452), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 94.3%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places beta-1-syntrophin in the cell membrane, cell junction and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitous. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
