Sorting nexin-4 (SNX4) is a PX-BAR domain protein that shapes endosomal membranes into tubules for cargo recycling. It helps return internalized transferrin receptor to the cell surface rather than to lysosomes, and it supports autophagosome formation by controlling the trafficking of the lipid scramblase ATG9A, making it relevant to studies of endosomal recycling and autophagy.
