Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes transcription factor SOX-11 (gene SOX11) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 46.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
Transcription factor SOX-11 (SOX11) is a SoxC group HMG-box transcriptional activator. It partners with POU factors such as BRN2 to boost gene activation and, together with SOX4 and SOX12, supports cell survival in developing tissues including the neural tube and branchial arches, making it important for organogenesis and neurogenesis research.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human A431 cells, human HL-60 cells, human K562 cells, human THP-1 cells, rat spleen tissue, rat heart tissue, rat lung tissue, rat liver tissue, mouse spleen tissue, mouse lung tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HeLa cells, U2OS cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SOX11 fragment (Met1–His374), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places transcription factor SOX-11 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed primarily in the brain and heart, with low expression in the kidney, pancreas and muscle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
